WHAT IS TIE DYE?

Tie dye is a process of tying an dyeing fabric into patterns. The fabric is usually cotton though other fabric such as bamboo, rayon, viscose, modal and linen can also be used. The fabric is folded into a pattern and bound with strings and rubber bands. The dyes are applied to different sections of the damp material. 

 

WHAT KIND OF DYES DO YOU USE?

I use environmentally friendly, professional quality Procion Fiber Reactive Dyes. They don't fade, even after repeated washings. They don't wear off, therefore are safe on infant clothing and clothing for chemically sensitive people. 

Procion Fiber reactive dyes are the same type of dyes used by clothing manufacturers. 

 

WILL MY PRODUCT LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME AS IN THE PHOTO?

Because of the manual process of Tie-dying, no two designs are exactly the same.  As a result, it is almost like a fingerprint. 

Your item will be very similar, but unique in its own way.

 

WHAT FABRIC DO YOU USE?

I use the following fabrics: natural cellulose fibres like cotton, bamboo, hemp, rayon, viscose and linen.

 

IS THERE SPECIAL CARING INSTRUCTIONS FOR MY TIE DYE PRODUCT?

I have a very strict washing out proses, so all of my work is colourfast when you receive your product. It will not run or bleed. You can add the tie dye items to your typical laundry load with detergents and wash them as per normal. 

 

WHAT IS THE PROCESSING TIME OF MY ORDER?

In general, all orders placed Monday through Friday will begin processing the following business day. Please note that orders placed on Friday will begin processing on the following Monday. We strive to ship your order within 2-3  days(excluding weekends), however there may be delays due to holidays. 

Please allow up to 7 days for orders to be processed during sale and busy periods.

 

Processing time for a quilt cover set is 2 weeks:

The white quilt cover sets have to be ordered, before I can start dyeing it in your favourite colours. 

 

Once an item is dispatched you will receive a confirmation email with your tracking details.

 

WILL MY ITEMS FADE, BLEED OR RUN?

No. I use professional quality Procion Fiber Reactive Dyes. I have a very strict washing out process that I follow which means by the time you receive your items, they are completely colourfast and will not bleed, run or fade.

 

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN MY ORDER HAS SHIPPED?

Once you order ships, you will receive an automatic shipping confirmation email from us with your tracking information. If you do not receive this email, please reach out to us at info@rainbow-tie-dye.com.

 

I CHECKED MY TRACKING INFORMATION. IT SHOWS “DELIVERED” BUT I DID’NT RECEIVE THE PACKAGE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Please reach out to your local carrier's office to track the package and see if they show where they left the package. In some cases, the package will be at the local carrier's office if no one was available to receive it.
